Bounded by the Graham Farmer Freeway, Great Eastern Highway and Victoria Park Drive, Burswood Station East has the biggest potential for growth and development within the Town. Its location is key – close to the Swan River foreshore, across from Burswood Station and within walking distance of some of Perth’s premier tourist attractions, including Optus Stadium.
Burswood Station East has the potential to be transformed from a predominately service and industrial precinct, into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly transit-oriented development, complete with well-designed and high-quality residential and commercial development. The Town is facilitating this through a new planning framework for the area, as well as plans to upgrade the streetscape and the key piece of public open space.
The area is already seeing interest, with high quality developments, such as The Crest, taking place in the last few years.
