The Etwell Street Local Centre is well situated to be a neighbourhood hub that provides local scale amenity and services to its surrounding community. This role is supported in the planning framework with the “Local Centre” zoning of the land allowing a diverse range of land uses.
The Etwell Street Local Centre Revitalisation Plan was created as a result of a collaboration between local residents and Town of Victoria Park staff to address some of the current streetscape issues. This Plan presents the opportunity to provide the surrounding residential neighbourhood with a meaningful local centre through upgrades to not only the street itself but also parking, footpaths and greening to the area.
