Lathlain Place is a part of the Lathlain Precinct Redevelopment Project, which has seen eight project zones in the Lathlain area undergo redevelopment and/or revitalisation.
The Lathlain Place zone saw an upgrade to the streetscape to make Lathlain Place a more focal and vibrant place. The street is home to a number of successful small businesses, includes a thriving community meeting place, and is where a new community centre has now been built. As a the link between Lathlain Park and Rayment Park and the Lathlain Primary School, Lathlain Place is surrounded by residential development, and closely located to the new Mineral Resources Park and transport networks, such as Victoria Park train station.
